About Barnard Castle Ramblers
After 57 years, the Barnard Castle Ramblers Group closed in September 2023.
This is a legacy website which is no longer being maintained and which will cease in August 2024.
There will be no further formal Ramblers walks available by Barnard Castle Ramblers.

FUTURE INFORMAL LOCAL WALKS
Some former members of the Barnard Castle group have agreed to walk together informally. Anybody may join this group but please be aware that this is a group of like minded people who have decided to walk together, there will be no responsibility or liability. Everyone, as adults, is responsible for their own safety and behaviour.
Walks will vary but generally between 5 and 12 miles. Walks will not always have been recceded but safety will remain paramount. Weather conditions will also be considered.
Communication will be by email, text or WhatsApp. Notification of walks can be at short notice and may be on any day of the week, although likely to be on a Saturday or Sunday. Details of walks will be given and date, time and location.
